Brief History of the Temple
The Shree Sanatan Dharma Prachar Mandal, Sector 18-C, Chandigarh, was established in the year 1966. The constitution of the Mandal was formally adopted on June 12, 1967. At that time, the following devotees had come forward as office bearer of the governing body of the Mandal. The Land for mandir was alloted by Chandigarh Administration on 21st March 1974 The Mandal was established with the following objectives:Promoting Sanatan Dharma
Establishing a temple in Sector 18-C, Chandigarh
Working for the physical, educational, social, and spiritual upliftment of the Hindu community
Organizing religious and social festivals
Running shelters and providing assistance for needy.
